Start facing North. 

Salute, then take right-foot-forward  stance.

1. Shuffle-step forward; vertical cut, descending

2. Turning to right, rotate 180 degrees to South, into right-foot-forward stance, raising sword into overhead block, protecting left side

3. Cut, descending, right-to-left diagonal

4. Stepping back with rear (left) foot, turn 90 degrees to face East in right forward stance; low outside (right) block.  (Sword should travel in a counter-clockwise arc.)

5. Shuffle-step forward, thrusting stab to solar-plexus

6. Rotate to left 180 degrees to West, step forward into right-foot-forward stance; vertical cut, descending

7. Shift weight onto rear (left) foot, direct attention 45 degrees to right, to Northwest; vertical cut, rising (to groin/ abdomen)

8. Rotate 180 degrees to Southeast into left-foot-forward stance; shuffle-step forward, high outside (left) block

9. Cut, horizontal, left-to-right (to neck)

10. Step back with left foot, rotating 90 degrees into right-foot-forward stance facing Northeast; low outside (right) block

11. Cut, horizontal, right-to-left (to belly).  (Sword should travel in a clockwise arc.)

12. Turn to left 180 degrees into left-foot-forward stance facing Southwest; shuffle-step, cut, descending left-to- right diagonal

13. Turn 135 degrees to right, facing North in a right-foot-forward stance; vertical cut, descending

  Salute, and the kata is complete.

And remember:  Cut with the edge, block with the flat!
